Holiday Program Registration

The summer season is right around the corner and now is the time to get prepared for our Learn to Swim and Swim for Fitness programs!

Here at Toodyay Aquatic Centre we have a unique program that focuses on safety skills and technique in and out of the water, so that when it’s chilly, children still have the opportunity to build their confidence and skills out of the pool, and are ready for a season of focused skill development.

Infant and Children’s swim and survive program

Here at Toodyay Rec Centre we know how important it is for children to build their water confidence and safety and we want to give them the best start. Our program incorporates fun land based activity that integrate right into our learn to swim program so you can make the most out of summer swimming. Learn more.

This program running Mondays 5pm is suitable for all children who are confident swimming 25m. Running for up to 1 hour it includes drills and lap swimming to build technique and endurance as well as time to work on their personal goals or swimming stage skills.

 

Are you an adult wanting to build your swim fitness?

We have a brand new program that incorporates functional movement and mobility designed to get you prepared to start your swim fitness journey. Learn more.

  • Term 1 2024 Start Date: Starting from January 29th

– Monday – (1:30-3:30pm), (3:30-5:30pm)

– Tuesday – (1:30-3:30pm), (3:30-5:30pm)

– Wednesday – (1:30-3:30pm), (3:30-5:30pm)

– Saturday – (9-11am), (11am-1pm), (1pm-3pm)

Sharon Pegrum – a Toodyay Local! Our new, enthused and qualified Swim Coach!

Sharon is a RLSSWA trained Swim Instructor whose previous experience includes 5 years at Beatty Park Swim School working as a swim teacher, disabilities program coordinator and supervisor.

She is also trained in functional movement with a passion for biomechanics and anatomy.

Bringing all the facets of her professional experience together and her experience teaching swimming to all ages from babies to adults she has developed a comprehensive program designed to improve water safety and fitness skills.

Sharon has experience working with people with disabilities and those who are neurodiverse and is committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to access and enjoy the many benefits of the water.

With her early childhood and homeschooling background Sharon is able to ensure children get the most out of their lessons.
